Mommy w announced that we were off to Cyberport Park this afternoon and I cringed inwardly. I remember it is usually full of pesky kids. Lemondrop was of course oblivious to my worrying as he noticed that mommy v had the Yellow Ball stick in her bag. And we all know how fixated he is with that ball.
I was frowning quite a bit, starting from the beginning of the journey, while we were in the lift.
When we got to the park, I refused to come out of the car. Mommy v had to coax me out a few times before I reluctantly got out... then I heard the kids - a LOT of them - and I couldn't take it anymore. I went straight into someone else's car as the door was open and the humans looked surprised but they only just laughed at me. Mommy v hurriedly herded me out and seeing no other safe corner, I ran straight for the field of flowers.
I heard mommy v's familiar whistle so I ventured out to the big open space...
... and spotted Lemondrop already playing with the Yellow Ball.
But there were a lot of kids. They were so terrifying! Their high-pitched voices, their reckless abandon, their excitable energy... I don't know what to do with myself. I'd rather hide than be within thirty feet from them.
Lemondrop was still obsessed with the Yellow Ball and he didn't seem to mind the kids too much.
He even picked up a Husky friend while playing...
I have to say, the Husky is rather handsome! I hardly see lean and fit-looking Huskies...
Mommy w bumped into a friend with two Golden Retrievers, Buddy and Charlie. The friend asked if we could look after them for a while because she needed to find a "loo". I don't understand why humans can't do it where we do it.
While waiting, we met another new friend, Boo.
Boo is only 4 months old and also from the HKDR. He looked like a little Porkchop, don't you think?
Thankfully by the time we walked around the park a few times most of the kids were gone. As much as I like the smell of the sea nearby and the flowers in the park, I much prefer a walk in the countryside.
